Jeanie Craig — Art Collection Management and Appraisals
Read the provider profile · Official website
Jeanie Craig provides art appraisal and collection-management services across the San Francisco Bay Area. The official website lists a mailing address in Mill Valley, not a San Francisco office. Ask directly about travel, inspection arrangements and service coverage for your location.
What this provider’s published scope covers
The practice describes work for private, corporate and institutional collections, with insurance, estate, donation, equitable-distribution and damage or loss appraisal purposes. Its collection-management services also cover documentation and coordination of collection care.
For a written report, agree on the intended use, type of value, effective date and recipient requirements before research begins. A resale estimate, insurance value and estate valuation answer different questions.
Questions to ask before booking
- Can you inspect the collection at my San Francisco location, and is travel included in the estimate?
- Do I need a valuation report, collection documentation or both?
- Which records and recipient requirements should I supply for an estate, donation or insurance assignment?
The website describes inspection, photography and documentation as part of collection work. Arrange access to the collection directly; the published Mill Valley address is a mailing address and should not be treated as a walk-in appointment location.
When a photo-based report may be enough
Appraisily is an online alternative when clear photographs and supporting records are sufficient for the assignment. Check the intended recipient’s requirements first. A local inspection may be needed when condition, attribution or inaccessible details cannot be documented remotely.
